“Come on lads, the Wordnets are this way!” For those of you that have ‘Wordnet’ recorders, this article is dedicated to you. Due to the abrupt withdrawal of the Wordnet series by NICE there has been serious customer concern about the viability of ongoing support to this established product group. BSL have considerable supplies of Wordnet recorders and spare parts for all the Wordnet models whether they be Series 1, 2, or 3’s. For our customers situated in the UK this means we will continue to provide ongoing maintenance for your systems; for our international customers we will continue to supply parts directly to you or to your nominated systems maintainer, whichever you prefer. You do not need to make a financial commitment but you should register your details for the BSL long term product support program which will give you preferential treatment for pricing and product availability – register at [email protected]. Summary of what’s available Wordnet Series 1 – Full maintenance support available with ‘best endeavours’ for parts, at present most common parts are available. Older series DAT drives are going to become a problem and also the more obscure digital-tap telephony boards. Full maintenance support on everything and all parts are available. Wordnet Series 3 – New Recorders are still available, second user systems sometimes available but call for details, upgrade channel expansion kits are available.
