The Sun finally sets on Mirra Series 2

As some of you may be aware NICE, the manufacturer of the Mirra Series 2, announced last year that production of the product would cease and no new systems would be available for sale. We have now reached another critical milestone with this product and NICE have announced that they will no longer provide or support system upgrades. What does this mean for you?

Due to the scarcity of available parts, it will become increasingly difficult for Business Systems to provide Mirra Series 2 owners with guaranteed system expansion and upgrades. Where possible, we will aim to supply certain Mirra Series 2 upgrade packages for a slightly longer period of time, but this will be on a case-by-case basis and subject to stock availability.

As the system is now being effectively phased out we would advise all of our customers to think seriously about changing their recording system particularly if expansion is likely in the next year. There are a number of comparative products on the market, including the new Mirra Series IV which offers the user-friendliness and reliability of the Series 2 combined with a selection of more advanced features.

For those of you who have no need to expand your existing Mirra Series 2 system, Business Systems will continue to support it in line with NICE until 1st March 2011.
